For over 70 years since the establishment of the People’s Republic of China, we have made important progress in talent training, team building, infrastracture platform, basic theory innovation and technology development in mango science and technology, which strongly supports startup and sustainable development of mango industry. Based on the summary of mango producton distribution and scale in China as well as over the globe, this paper discussed the achievements of China’s mango industry in terms of research and development course, germplasm and bredding, soil, fertilizer and water management, tillage patterns, floral and fruit management, disease and pest management, postharvest preservation, storage and transportation, industrial economy; and it analyzed our weaknesses and proposed key areas that we should focus on in the future.
